The Buffalo Horn Bowie is built for hunters and outdoorsmen who need reach, control, and a blade that won’t wear them out over a full day in the field. A hand-forged high-carbon steel blade holds a durable edge through field dressing, rough cutting, and bushcraft tasks, while the full steel guard protects your grip during forceful cuts.
Most production bowies in this class run 227–450g on 4.8–6.4mm stock, heavy tools built for hard batoning. At 295g on a 4mm blade, this one is deliberately lighter and thinner, trading baton-proof bulk for accuracy and hours of fatigue-free carry. It’s the knife for field dressing and all-round camp work, not chopping firewood.
The handle pairs a buffalo horn-effect bolster and pommel with a rosewood grip, pinned in brass for a warm, secure hold in wet or gloved hands.
Any knife edge can become blunt over time and with each use. We recommend that you sharpen your knife’s blade as required.
The blade can be sharpened using any standard sharpening equipment, including a wet stone, rods, etc.
Sharpen at a 15-20 degree angle, on each side.
