The Amber Grain Cleaver is the knife you reach for when you don’t know exactly what the cut ahead needs. At 315g, it sits right alongside the Rosewood Braai Cleaver (305g) and Triple-Hole Chopper (345g) in weight, positioning it as a genuine all-rounder: light enough for clean slicing, with enough presence to handle light chopping too.

A blade-side finger hole aids grip and reduces sticking during portioning and crushing tasks, while a separate steel loop at the pommel lets you hang the knife for storage between uses, keeping it dry and out of a drawer.

Amber-toned pakkawood scales give a warm, secure handle that stands up well to repeated washing and drying, paired with a hand-forged high-carbon steel blade.

  • Dry Immediately: Dry thoroughly, including the blade-side hole and hanging loop.
  • Oil After Each Use: Apply a light coat of food-safe oil to protect the blade and pakkawood scales.
  • Store Properly: Store hung on the steel loop in a dry spot, rather than sealed in a damp sheath.
