The Bone-Saw Braai Cleaver solves the one problem every braai butcher runs into: what happens when the cut hits bone. This 2-in-1 tool combines a full cleaver edge for chopping through ribs and joints with integrated bone-saw teeth along part of the spine, so you can break down bone-in cuts without reaching for a separate saw.
At 432g, it’s noticeably lighter than a traditional Western or Chinese butcher’s cleaver (commercial cleavers typically run 450–900g), while still meeting the standard blade-thickness spec for the category. That means less wrist fatigue over a long braai session, without giving up chopping authority.
A large single finger hole near the bolster gives a secure, controlled grip whether you’re chopping, sawing, or making finer cuts.
The smooth cutting edge can be sharpened using any standard sharpening equipment, including a wet stone, rods, etc. The saw teeth are not resharpened the same way as a plain edge. If damaged, we recommend professional resharpening.
Sharpening at a 15-20 degree angle, on each side.
